The nasty lil gem of a horror film is the only film being announced for this years 24 Hour V Movie Marathon. THE RUINS was slated for a video-only release here but Paramount have kindly allowed us to present the only 35mm cinema screening in New Zealand.
Anyone who has read Scott (A Simple Plan) Smith's brutal novel of the same name should know what to expect. To the rest of you, we implore you to avoid reading up on the film and don't watch the DVD which hits shops on Dec 3. Rent it again after the screening!
The only reason this is being announced is to stop the diehard horror fans renting it first and then seeing it again at the marathon.
The rest of the lineup is a mystery. Expect the most diverse mix of films ever witnessed in any theatre.
